Historical ambiance, you feel like living back in time, candles and antiquities everywhere, huge large rooms.
The bathroom door didnn' want to close, we heard noises from outside (we were at ground floor). The bathroom is too small compared with the other rooms, somehow does not fit. The breakfast was different than in a normal 5 stars hotel, some cheap things that do not match the 5 stars but also fine delicacies that made us enjoy it overall.

The location was perfect for us as we only had a short walk to the road bridge, the room was spacious, tidy, with a breathtaking view of the castle.

Enormous, very well furnished suites in a beautiful historical building with a perfect location - down a very quiet street just a minute's walk from the centre of the old town. The staff are friendly, unobtrusive and very helpful. Although the hotel is very large, the suites are so big that there are only a handful of guests will be staying here at a time, and this helps make the antique palace hotel and spa a tranquil oasis in a town that is pretty laid-back in the first place!

The facility was nicely restored and elegant. Staff was fabulous -- friendly, helpful, and willing to go out of their way to make you feel comfortable and welcome. The breakfast featured a nice variety of items -- fresh berries, lovely cheeses, fresh breads, etc.
During the day you could hear musicians practicing at the conservatory next door. Not an issue in the evening.
